It is indeed. There are a few chat rooms that only speak in Latin for any enthusiasts and the Pope still uses Latin every so often to address people. But you are right, we do not know how Latin used to be pronounced when it was still a widely spoken language. But one thing that is fascinating about languages is that they live and change. So people speaking English spoke differently 100 years ago than they do now. That why you have to get used to a “different” English when you read Shakespeare for example.
