Yes, Depending on the specific features of a program we guess the best strategy to run the program. There is no guarantee that the strategy is indeed the best one. We use what are so-called heuristics or indicators that help us with that decision.
Yes. Since psychology looks at human nature, and because we are so complicated we have to give our ‘best-guess’ as to how someone will react to something. You can’t say with 100% accuracy how someone will react to something, people will always surprise you!
