After graduating from an engineering degree, I went to work for a big company, and day after day I started to miss the feeling of discovery I used to have at university. This was the motivation for a master degree, in which I did some research, and I loved it! It was exciting, although very hard work was required, it was worth it! This was the beginning of my career as scientist.

Depends what you mean by a scientist. For me a scientist is someone who just loves asking questions and learning new things. So I’ve always been one I’d say.

But in terms of getting paid to do research. Graduated uni in 2010 and spent a year trying to set up a company (didn’t work) then applied for a position at Bournemouth University to look into digital games. They liked my ideas so offered me a place!
