Certainly has, especially in terms of human computer interaction. Things like the Kinect for xBox means we are more ‘involved’ in games. Plus there’s the Emotive Digital Neural Headset. It uses brain patterns created by thought to control games! Very useful for people with disabilities, and it can be used to help concentration.

There’s also things like pervasive gaming. Which just means that games are integrated into real life. Since we always carry smart phones we can start to gamify things that are normally quite dull. Like the app that shows a map with zombies chasing you to motivate you to go running.
