0 Question: How hot is the Sun? Keywords: sun, temperature Asked by issi759 to Alessandro, Angela, Claudia, Marina, Phil on 14 Mar 2013.
Phillip Wilkinson answered on 14 Mar 2013:
15 million degrees at its maximum!
Interestingly though, the surface is a lot cooler. A chilly 4000 degrees. There’s actually a type of shrimp in the ocean that can fire a jet of water so quickly, it produces heat greater than that of the surface of the sun around 9000 degrees!
