• Question: How long does it take to do a PhD, and do you have to go to University to be able to study and get the PhD?

      It takes 3 to 4 years, which is quite a long time. So you really have to love science to go for it. I enjoy it very much but it’s not for everyone.

      You do have to go to university to get a PhD position. You need to study there for at least 3 years but some also require a Masters course, which is another year of studying.
