      It is all to do with the angle and speed at which the water is hit. Water is pretty ‘solid’ stuff when hit hard enough. It compresses and bounces back. If you hit it at the right angle, under 20 degrees, with the right stone that won’t dig in, the stone will bounce like it has hit concrete.
