RNA stands for Ribonucleic acid and it performs a different job than DNA (DeoxyriboNucleicAcid). DNA is there for medium to long term storage of genetic information. Whereas RNA is there to transfer the genetic code needed for the creation of proteins from the nucleus to the ribosome.
