      Is there other intelligent life out there in the universe and can we communicate with it.

      In my field that would be finding out whether problems that are easy to solve are the same problems for which you can easily tell if you found a solution or not. Lots of computer scientist have tried to solve this problem but so far nobody succeeded. It is THE multi-million pound/dollar question of computer science. Most computer scientist believe they are different. However, if it turns out that they are the same, encrypted data is no longer safe.
