      Guns have been around now for about 1000 years and it all started of in China, where gunpowder was first invented in the 9th century. Armies realised the potential for weapons and created bombs and mines from it. The first guns where Chines fire lances which fired shrapnel out of bamboo sticks. Europeans later (around 1300) created the first canons which then developed into today’s guns.
