• Question: Why do you think you should win the money? What makes your work worthy of this prize? Also do you think your work is more important than the others? If so why?

I’ll use the money to further my passion for engaging young children in science. By creating an online web series we will be free to incorporate jokes that may not be appropriate for the classroom but are certainly appropriate for the age we are targeting. This freedom means we can make the series as funny and engaging as possible, whilst keeping the science ‘pure’.

My work is somewhat related to what I will use the prize for. As well as my research i travel to local schools to engage students in science and technology in fun ways. Making and programming lego robots or building ejector seats for teddy bears for example.

I do not think my work is more important than the others. Only as important. Its unfair to say someone’s work is more important than others as, although we are in the same field, we cannot predict the impact it will have or who will be benefit from it in the long run.
