• Question: Why is the sun in the middle of the milky way?

      The sun is in the center of our solar system because it is the most massive, so it has the greatest gravitational pull so all smaller planets orbit around it. In the same way Earth is more massive than the Moon, thats why the Moon orbits us.

      In terms of the Milky way, we’re not actually in the center. The sun and our solar system is in one of the spiral arms. This picture shows roughly were we are ->
